Patching in Europe did not go too smooth this Wednesday. Since the patch for improved performance and crysystem.dll crash had to be applied to the servers themselves, it was a bit trickier than just patching user clients. It took the whole night to be done and to apologize to its European players, NCSoft is giving one extra day to all its current EU subscribers. It might take up to 5 days to see the change on your account though, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t see it right away.

Aion’s very own community team put up another one of their Eye on Community articles on the official site (we were featured as well – wooooooo). The thing I really got impressed with were a couple of pictures made by an Aion fan on DevianArt. Artist known as nitro-killer decided to share its impression of Asmodians and Aion Love. It took him 5 days to complete the amazing Asmodians image. You can see both images bellow, but I recommend you go through his whole gallery at DeviantArt.

Only after the patch has been applied and made available to the general public, have Aion community mangers explained that a possible fix for infamous crysystem.dll error during fort sieges has been included in the patch. We have added this information to our 1.5.1 patch notes page and bellow are the details

Optimizations have been made within the game to assist with the performance issues that characters experience during Sieges and other resource intensive activities

This should significantly cut down on the amount of CrySystem.dll errors that players have been reporting

If, by any chance, you are still experiencing crysystem.dll crashes you can let the Aion community mangers know in this topic on Aionsource.com forums.

As you may know, we’re currently experiencing problems with all NA and EU game servers. We’ve been working to identify what’s causing these problems and are close to a solution that will bring stability back to the servers and rectify new issues that began with this mornings update.

At 3:30 PDT (that is 11AM GMT for the European players) Aion servers will be brought down for maintenance and for the next three hours patch 1.5.1 will be applied. We can than bask in increased EXP for quests in Eltnen/Morheim and up, and all the other good stuff you can read about in our patch notes page. We will also be updating our quests/gathering/item sets database with the new data in the upcoming days.

We just wanted to let you know that we have added another 200 quest image walkthroughs to our Aion quests database. This brings the total to somewhere around 1/3 of all in game quests covered with screenshot help. We stopped counting how many screenshots have been uploaded a long time ago but I would guess somewhere around 5000.

At the same time I would like to thank an anonymous visitor that told us about a bug in our search system. Apparently, searching for Asmodian quests only didn’t list quests that can be done by both Asmodians and Elyos (like the quest Putting Out Fires). If any of you come across stuff like this on the site please feel free to let us know through our Contact Us page or by posting a comment almost anywhere on the site .

We’re working diligently to put up the rest of the quests asap, but there’s only a few of us playing and Aion has a hard leveling curve so it takes time. Leveling while taking screenshots takes twice as much time it would take to level without screenshots, but we want to see this through and put up as many quests as possible from the whole game.
