How to make your aion toon looks like a doll

While I was following various Aion links during the last few days I came across this interesting forum post – Doll Toons. To be honest, an idea of making a toon that looks like a doll has never crossed my mind, but when I saw some screenshots I was really impressed. My first attempt wasn’t very successful. One of the reason might be a fact that is much harder to make Asmo doll than Elyos one. So I’ve decided to search for tips and tricks. And here is what I have found so far. If you have any other tip please let us know.

1) Dolls heads are large in proportion to their bodies. Also, their facial features are pushed closer together, and their eyes are pretty much full-size, which makes them seem bigger.
2) So, if you want to make a character’s face doll- like, push the features closer together, make the eyes bigger, the nose and mouth smaller, the head rounder and bigger. The waist shouldn’t be too narrow in proportion to the hips; the shoulders should not be broad.
3) The asmo body type will make this a little tougher as the base body types are different (bigger neck muscles, broader shoulders, wider hips, bigger chest) even when you bring all sliders down to 0.
4) Max the “scary” and “disturbing” bars. Min “human resemblance” bar.

Doll Likethis SM Synthia3 Synthia Elt 3

Body:
1) Short as possible, tho make the legs fit the body
2) Feet should be small
3) Hands should be small
4) Shoulders close together
5) Bewbs should be small(est), unless you want a ****** doll look
6) Hips and waist should be small
7) Leg thickness should be small
8 ) Most should be small, except head, which should be slightly on the bigger side.

Face styles:
1) Should have the face style where the cheeks have blush on them
2) Big dead looking eyes work too

Eyebrows:
1) Narrow, and not too obvious

Eyes:
1) Big!
2) Make them ‘even’ as in not tilting up or down
3) Blue is best,
4) Make them fairly close together, not too close, but just a hair more than average

Hair:
1) Style is just prefference, tho avoid elaborate stuff
2) Blonde is best,
3) Long styles are best in my opinion, tho short ones will work. Curly or elaborate decorations do not work for dolls

Nose:
1) Don’t make it pointy, should be round and cute
2) Nostrils just slightly flared, a skinny nose is not doll-like
3) Make the nose tip round and ‘button like’
4) Make it slightly pointing upwards if you want
5) Nose bridge should be further in, than further out

Ears:
1) NOT elf like, that is all

Mouth:
1) Narrow(Kiss lips like)
2) Make them Full, think the Bratz dolls!
3) Should be rose red
4) Make it look average, no smile, no frown, just average

Aion’s PvP event – Dash of the Daevas

Aion servers are back online following a successful server merge and several exciting in-game and out of game happenings are planned over the next few weeks. If you still doubt whether to participate in this event or not take a look at some rewards…

Dash of the Daevas will kick things off with a bang, starting just after the servers come up on the 14th July. You’ll be pitted against friends and enemies alike, in a race to achieve specially selected server ‘firsts’. There probably isn’t any significant need to further explain what properties constitute a ‘first’, besides mentioning the very fundamental fact of it denoting the first time something is accomplished!

After much haggling we’ve managed to convince Ettanyerk of the Black Cloud Traders to part with some in-game goodies to give away as rewards. The achievements work either on a per Faction, Legion or Group basis, and are as follow (including their reward):

First Divine Fortress Capture
Faction reward: 5 Major Crowns per player
Legion reward: Custom Armor Skins

First Faction to capture all Fortresses in the Lower Abyss
Faction reward: 1 Major Crown per player

First Faction to capture all Fortresses in the Upper Abyss
Faction reward: 3 Major Crowns per player

First Group to best Tahabata Pyrelord
Reward: Premium Weapon Skins

First Group to defeat Unstable Triroan
Groupreward: 5 Black Dyes per player

First Group to defeat Lord Lannok
Group reward: 5 White Dyes per player

First Group to defeat Nochsana General
Group reward: 5 Black Dyes per player

First Menotios the Destroyer kill
Faction reward: 5 Major Crowns per player
Legion reward: 5 Major Crowns per player

(There are several undisclosed achievements to keep you on your toes in addition to the above)

To qualify for the rewards, you must be the first Faction, Legion or Group to achieve these landmarks. But due to the nature of the agreement established with Ettanyerk, he wants results within two weeks.

At the end of those two weeks we’ll announce the winners, and they will at this time receive their rewards via the in game mail system, courtesy of Ettanyerk’s cousin, Kaknyerk of the United Postal Services Association of Atreia.

Good luck and happy hunting, Daevas.

Weekly Poll: What do you miss the most in Aion?

This week’s poll is about features that you’ve probably came a cross in other MMORPGs. The question for this week is: What do you miss the most in Aion?

Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post’s poll.

Aion Legion Name Conflict Process

The Aion Community Team has announced today that all Legions that may have a naming conflict during the server merge will be manually identified. Customer service team will determine which Legions will keep their names without any change.

With the imminent server merge on July 14, we wanted to let you know that we will be changing some Legion names in the next few days.

Before the merge, we will manually identify Legions that may run into a naming conflict with another Legion during the server merge. After identifying all Legions in conflict, our customer service team will be applying a set of criteria to determine which Legions will maintain their names without any change and which Legions will have an identifying server abbreviation appended to them. These name changes will be taking place before the merge.

If your Legion receives a server abbreviation added to the end of your Legion name, the Legion’s Brigade General will receive a free Legion Name Change Ticket after the merge is complete. Your Legion may then opt to keep the Legion name with the server abbreviation or change its Legion name after the server merge occurs.

Six free Aion server transfers per character

With upcoming Aion servers merges scheduled for July 14, 2010 unlimited free character transfers service will be opening for all Daevas until August 25. During this period characters you submit for transfer are placed in a collated list, together with transfer requests from other players. The transfers outlined in this list will all be executed at the same time during weekly maintenance. Because transfers are moved in a batch each week, you will be able to transfer your character up to six times before the 25th of August, when the free character transfer period ends.
